Forbidden Tapes is a first-person adventure for players who like quiet, unsettling mysteries with an adult edge. The tone stays tense and voyeuristic rather than playful.

Story

Jax is home alone after his parents leave for the day, and what begins as simple curiosity about his mother turns into something else. Searching the house for answers, he starts finding video tapes that were never meant to be found, each one pulling him further into a private history he doesn't fully understand.

Gameplay

Play centers on exploring the house room by room, solving small puzzles to unlock new areas, and locating hidden tapes that push the mystery forward. Progress comes from observation and searching rather than combat or dialogue trees, with each tape adding another piece to the picture of what's been happening at home.
