Overview
Ephemeral Gate is a fantasy RPG dating sim for players who want a long adventure mixed with companion corruption content. The tone shifts between earnest heroics and darker, adult detours.
Story
The kingdom of Alanse is under threat, with the king poisoned and the crown left in the hands of a princess unprepared for the crisis. Haru, an unlikely hero, is drawn into the effort to save the kingdom, a path that starts with small, humiliating tasks and eventually leads to confrontations with divine forces. Along the way he gathers companions whose loyalty, and virtue, can bend depending on his choices.
Gameplay
Players guide Haru through RPG combat and exploration while managing relationships with the companions he recruits. Choices during these interactions determine whether allies stay loyal or slide into corruption, opening different scenes and outcomes. Progress mixes turn-based encounters with dating-sim style character events, moving between dungeon tasks and personal moments with the cast.
