Dual Family

Dual Family is a 3DCG visual novel for players who want a grounded, character-driven look at a household coming apart. The tone is heavy and intimate rather than playful.

Story

A marriage has curdled into resentment, and the family built on it is starting to crack. The wife and mother, worn down and unseen, searches for validation outside her failing marriage, while her daughter's own sexual awakening begins to unfold alongside the household's slow collapse. The story is told through two lenses on the same unraveling family, following either the father or the son as each watches the same wounds open from a different angle.

Gameplay

Players pick a role, Father or Son, and move through story scenes as that character, seeing shared events and relationships play out from a distinct point of view. Progress is scene-based, built around dialogue and choices that reveal how each family member is coping, or failing to cope, with the breakdown at home. Side segments and staged set-pieces break up the main narrative without changing its focus on the family itself.
