Disaster

Disaster is a visual novel and sandbox RPG for players who want a harsh, character-driven adult drama rather than a lighthearted romp. Its tone is bleak and pressure-heavy, built around consequence rather than comfort.

Story

After waking from a seven-month coma, a former athlete finds his career gone, his savings drained, and a $75,000 debt hanging over him following an accident he was blamed for. Stuck in modern Prague, he has to decide how far he's willing to go, through legitimate work or the city's underworld, to claw his way back, with therapy sessions from an unconventional specialist shaping his mental state along the way. His decisions branch toward one of five distinct endings, from recovery to total collapse.

Gameplay

Play centers on managing finances, energy, and sanity day to day, choosing between manual labor and riskier underworld jobs to stay afloat. A smartphone interface lets you browse social media and adult platforms to meet people and open up new storylines, while stats like Strength, Agility, Charisma, and Intelligence shape what options and locations are available to you. Choices throughout carry weight, steering the character toward one of several possible outcomes.
