Overview
Degrees of Lewdity is a sandbox visual novel for players who want dark, unflinching adult fiction with heavy corruption themes. Its tone is bleak and vulnerable rather than triumphant.
Story
You play a young student living at an orphanage, forced to scrape together money to keep a roof over your head. Every path forward puts you at the mercy of circumstances and people stronger than you, since the character you control is never the one holding power in a situation.
Gameplay
Days are spent balancing school, odd jobs, and survival needs, with your choices shaping how much danger and exposure you're willing to risk for cash. The world is a sandbox with a custom-built character to shape, and encounters range from mundane to threatening depending on where you go and who you meet. Combat, social situations, and part-time work all draw from the same pool of limited time and stamina, forcing constant trade-offs.
Features
- A wide cast of monster girls, students, and other locals with their own behaviors and risks
- Body and stat-based character customization that changes how events play out
- Turn-based combat alongside job and money-management mechanics
- Mind control, transformation, and corruption systems woven into everyday events
Notes
The game centers on non-consent and exploitative scenarios by design, with the player character consistently placed in a powerless position. Readers sensitive to coercive or degrading content should weigh this before going in.

Changelog
v0.5.11.4
- This update adds a new job to Niki's studio. It also rebalances moneymaking options, adds new clothes, and sprinkles many new events throughout.
- For the new studio job, the PC must don a costume and hand out flyers while Niki does their thing. I wanted it to be a minigame of sorts, with money made depending on the number of flyers handed out, and the interest generated. The costume is normally worn over regular clothes, but this makes it hot and stuffy. The PC will need to pace themselves. Or wear less beneath it, but that's risky in this town.
- We've adjusted the PC's money making options, with the aim of making them more interesting, and making more jobs viable. Most jobs were already quite balanced, but there were outliers that made more money than they should for how safe and accessible they were, while others were overshadowed. Making cream buns at the café was the most extreme. Higher end bunmaking has been toned down, and it can now lead to an attempt to throw the PC in the slammer should suspicion raise too high. Other options have had skill checks added, such as diving for the diamond in the rocky pool.
- As part of this, tending has also been adjusted. Early game crops have had their value boosted a bit. Tending large fields now produces fewer crops, but takes half the time, and the produce sells faster at market. We've also reduced the cost of late game upgrades at Alex's farm and the town hall by around 40%. Hopefully this combats the town's rampant inflation. Let me know what you think!
