Cyber Rift

Cyber Rift is a sci-fi visual novel blended with point-and-click adventure, made for players who like slow-building conspiracy stories with a crew of companions. The tone mixes tension on the run with lighter, warmer moments between characters.

Story

After a job gone wrong, the player and their longtime friend Fae are on the run from the Syndicate, a criminal organization whose reach is enormous and whose motives are unclear. Trying to pay off their debt and find a way back, their small crew takes on work across the galaxy, only to stumble onto a conspiracy tied to something called Project Prometheus that could change humanity's fate. Along the way, the crew grows to include people like the science-minded Fae and the joyful Everie, whose connection to the conspiracy runs deeper than she lets on.

Gameplay

Players explore a point-and-click sandbox, clicking through locations and dialogue to advance the crew's story and uncover clues about the Syndicate and Project Prometheus. Progress comes from talking to crewmates, taking on jobs, and following branching conversations that deepen individual relationships over time. The pacing favors exploration and dialogue over combat or reflex challenges.
