Overview
Confessions in the Dark is a visual novel dating sim for players drawn to slow-burn relationship drama with an explicit edge. The tone stays personal and conversational, focused on two people working through a difficult desire together.
Story
The story follows a married man who admits to his wife that he fantasizes about watching her have sex with another man. That confession reshapes their relationship, opening the door to shared arousal, jealousy, and negotiation. As the two explore this new dynamic, the real question becomes whether they can stay aligned emotionally, or whether one of them will chase the thrill past the point the other can handle.
Gameplay
Play centers on dialogue choices and story progression as the male protagonist, guiding conversations with his wife and reacting to the situations that follow from his confession. Choices shape how open, jealous, or encouraging the couple becomes toward each other, feeding into a branching relationship rather than a fixed script. The game moves through dated scenes and outings, with static visual novel presentation carrying the story forward.

- Continues the story, with the conclusion of the theme park date, another scene with Ben, and Part 1 of the Beach arc.
- Due to more feedback regarding the relationship dynamic between MC and FMC, I have made additional changes to already released content, adding in some lines of dialogue that hopefully reinforces the dynamic that they share better. (Basically added lines to make it a more loving relationship, reinforcing the mutual respect and understanding of sharing your wife, and being shared)
- New total includes 4,297 lines of dialogue , containing over 54,821 words.
- 3 new sex scenes.
- Moved the Halloween scene to the end of the game, with a menu to select it or return to menu. Plan is to add more seasonal content there. (Christmas!)
