Canticle

Canticle is a fantasy visual novel with dating sim elements for players who enjoy monastery settings and slow-built romance. The tone is scholarly and quiet, with room for tension beneath the ritual.

Story

A newly chosen scribe travels to Starfall Isle at the Cantor's invitation, summoned by Father Orson to join the Lucent Priory. There, alongside other new arrivals, the player is expected to study alongside the priory's arcanists and contribute to the creation of a great Incantation, a tome of magic built from many minds working together.

Gameplay

Play centers on point-and-click exploration of the priory grounds, mixed with puzzle-solving tied to scholarly study. Between lessons, the player builds relationships with fellow Brothers through dialogue choices, with character creation letting players shape their scribe before stepping into priory life.
