Overview
A Promise Best Left Unkept - Aya Edition is a 2D visual novel for players who want a dark, tension-driven dating sim with a corruption edge. The tone stays serious and uncomfortable rather than playful.
Story
Harry's promise to his girlfriend a year ago pushed him toward professional success, and that success finally pays off with a major deal and a coming promotion. The cost of that breakthrough is unexpected: the deal brings his old high school bully back into his life as the representative of a subcontracting company, threatening to unravel what he built his promise on.
Gameplay
Play follows Harry and the people around him through a branching visual novel structure, with choices shaping how relationships shift under pressure from this returning figure. Decisions steer the story toward one of several distinct endings, reflecting how far the corruption is allowed to go.

- It's kind of hard to express how messy I feel this last ending is. I don't think it was worth all the trouble for it. Certainly not the money it cost to do it. But I had said there would be four endings. I had also written it in its entirety. So I thought I might as well do it. But yeah. As the "last ending" of Aya Edition, this is… ugh…
- I did the same thing with The Edge Of at the time, where I had an idea of something fun to do, so I wrote an additional ending simply for the heck of it. For The Edge Of, it worked surprisingly well… but not for this…
- Anyway, I can go on and on, but that still wouldn't make a difference. I need to release it at some point. I did say it was a "bonus" ending, so I guess it's not that bad if we look at it that way.
- Don't get excited by the numbers. Lots of CGs are very simple.

You can reach this ending by:
- Not entering the infirmary
- Going to the subway station
- You can also do the smarter thing and just use the ending selection menu which will bring you directly to the 24th of December (the abandoned factory).
